A famous British actor has just passed away after battling a short illness, according to reports. Keith Barron has died at the age of 83.
Barron is best known for his acting work on numerous hit television shows. He starred in "Where the Heart Is," "Coronation Street," "Take Me Home," and "Doctor Who." While most of his acting work was big in the United Kingdom, he has also appeared in some Hollywood films as well.
“He had a long and varied career which included the Nigel Barton plays by Dennis Potter, of which he was immensely proud. He is survived by his wife Mary to whom he was married for 58 years and his son, Jamie, also an actor," said his agent in a statement.
Barron was originally born in Mexborough, South Yorkshire. He studied acting at the Sheffield Playhouse. It was at the playhouse that he met his future wife, Mary Pickard.
The actor’s last television appearance was on the ITV show DCI Banks, where he played the character Arthur Banks for 10 episodes, according to the Independent. Please join us in praying for Barron's family during this difficult time. May God's healing comfort grace their lives.
