Famous Actress Suggests a Different 'Person of the Year,' Conservatives Cheering

December 11, 2018Dec 11, 2018

On Tuesday, December 11, TIME revealed their 2018 Person of the Year. Since 1927, they have chosen one person, group, or idea that has had a substantial impact on the world, for better or worse.

This year, "The Guardians and the War on Truth" was the winner, focusing on journalists who have had to fight for the right to share the truth with the world.

The shortlist for candidates included, President Trump, Separated Families, Vladimir Putin, Robert Mueller, Ryan Coogler, Christine Blasey Ford, Jamal Khashoggi, March for Our Lives Activists, Moon Jae-in, and Meghan Markle.

Now, one actress is speaking out about that list. Patricia Heaton, known for her conservative values, noted that almost all of the candidates were left-leaning and that President Trump was specifically added to the list as "for worse" option.

Heaton took to social media to give a different suggestion to TIME for the Person of the Year. She wrote that actor Gary Sinise would have been an amazing option. According to Daily Wire, his charity just treated 2,000 children of Gold Star families to a trip to Disney World.

Heaton wrote, "Hey @TIME, why isn't @GarySinise ever on the Person of the Year list? Hey @TheAcademy, why isn't he ever picked for the #jeanhersholt humanitarian award? He raises $30M a year to build homes for wounded vets along with his #goldstarfamily support. Retweet!"

What do you think about Patricia's suggestion? Do you think Gary Sinise should have been an option for the Person of the Year? Let us know your thoughts! In other recent news, a tragic accident killed one person on a TV set. Please be praying for his family.
