It has been a tragic week for Hollywood superstar Heather Locklear. In the latest of a string of horrific incidents, the 56-year old actress was rushed to the hospital Monday afternoon just hours after being released from jail.
Locklear is best known for her role as Amanda Woodward in the hit 1990’s TV show ‘Melrose Place.’ She has over 68 acting credits to her name.
A week ago Monday, Locklear was hospitalized and under observation in a psychiatric ward after making suicidal threats. Her mother had called 911 in response to Locklear threatening to shoot and kill herself.
She was described as being ‘agitated and violent’ and struck her father. She also reportedly choked her mother. After three days of observation, Locklear was released. Tragically, her downward spiral continued shortly thereafter.
On Sunday night Locklear was arrested at home after attacking a police officer and an EMT, that being the 2nd time that day that police had been called to her house for disturbances. Locklear appeared to be heavily intoxicated.
Locklear was booked into jail early Monday morning on 2 counts of misdemeanor battery, a similar charge to the one she faces for an earlier incident involving a police officer in February of this year.
A few hours after being booked, Locklear had posted $20,000 bail. Several hours after her release, Locklear was again being rushed to the hospital, this time for a potential overdose. According to TMZ, she is currently receiving treatment.
Please pray that she can get the help she needs and turn her life around!
