It has been reported that actress Mila Kunis, who is a firm pro-abortion advocate, is causing a boycott by many conservatives. The boycott comes in the aftermath of Kunis revealing on an episode of "Conan" last week that for months she has been making donations to Planned Parenthood in Vice President Mike Pence's name.
“I disagreed with some of the stuff that Pence was doing and was trying to do, and so as a reminder that there are women out there in the world that may or may not agree with his platform, I put him on a list of reoccurring donations that are made in his name to Planned Parenthood,” Kunis said, according to the National Post. “Every month to his office, he gets a little letter that says an anonymous donation has been made in your name. I strongly disagree, and this is my little way of showing that. It’s a peaceful protest.”
The actions of this pro-abortion actress have offended many pro-life conservatives, who have decided to Boycott Jim Beam, the whiskey brand Kunis is the spokesperson for.
And on top of boycotting this popular whiskey brand, they have also decided to make donations to pro-life organizations and the NRA in her name. One such organization that is receiving donations in Kunis's name is the Susan B. Anthony List, which supports the right to life and has a very negative reputation among pro-abortion activists.
The National Post writes that Kunis isn't surprised at all by the backlash. While on Conan, Kunis noted that the announcement would probably cause her to receive angry mail. She then apologized if she offended anybody, claiming that she was doing it all to anger Pence but not his supporters.
According to GrubStreet, Kunis claims that she doesn't want to offend anybody. Rather, she simply disagrees with many of the things that Mike Pence is doing for the pro-life cause, and she consequently wanted Pence to receive a letter from Planned Parenthood every single month thanking him for donating. She claims that it is a peaceful protest against the Vice President of the United States, rather than an action intended to offend all pro-lifers.
According to the Huffington Post, many pro-lifers on Twitter have expressed their outrage at Kunis for her prank against Mike Pence. Here are a few of the tweets gathered by the Huffington Post.
