Family Upset After Message is ‘Removed’ from High School Student’s T-Shirt

Here is what Berardo’s yearbook photo looked like prior to being edited.

His t-shirt portrayed his public support for President Donald Trump with the famous ‘Make America Great Again’ slogan. He also clarifies the shirt has deeper value because it ‘memorializes the time’ in which the students were living. It acted as a memorial for the 2016 election.

Berardo stated, "I like Trump, but it’s history too. Wearing that shirt memorializes the time."

The superintendent responded to the situation claiming she is unaware of how or why Berardo’s t-shirt was altered since politics are not a violation of school policy. An investigation is occurring to determine if the school or the company used for photos/printing is responsible.

Berardo's parents are requesting the yearbooks be reprinted or else they may consider 'legal action'. How would you react if this happened to your child?
