An 8-year-old boy, Johnathan Martinez, who was shot in the San Bernardino elementary school shooting has passed away after being hospitalized on Monday.

The gunman walked into a special needs classroom targeting his wife, but sadly ended up shooting two other students. The gunman killed his wife and himself. While one student has been listed in stable condition, it is with heavy hearts that we report of Jonathan's passing on Monday night.

The family shared precious photos of their son on Tuesday and made an announcement in his honor:

Williams Syndrome is a developmental disorder caused by lack of certain chromosome genes, that results in physical/mental disabilities and can lead to serious health issues such as heart problems.

A family member also set up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds in support of funeral costs and meals to Johnathan’s parents.

Please share Johnathan’s story and continue to pray for all of those affected by this terrible tragedy.

Thank you!
