Netflix is one of the most popular streaming services across the globe. Millions of people tune in to watch their favorite television shows and movies, opting out of high priced cable contracts.
A recent crime documentary called "The Staircase" has become very popular. In the series, a man named Michael Peterson is accused of killing his wife and is sentenced to prison. Years later, new evidence comes forward that contradicts the facts the original jury heard.
One of the main prosecutors responsible for opting Peterson behind bars was Freda Black. Sadly, Black was just found dead in her home, weeks after the documentary went viral.
"Wil Glenn, a spokesperson for the Durham police department told Fox News that Black, who gained fame after successfully prosecuting Peterson for the murder of his wife in 2003, was found dead in her Durham home around 3:30 pm on Sunday," reported Fox News.
"Glenn added the death of the former prosecutor did not seem to be suspicious and the body has been sent to the medical examiner," reported Fox.
