Cause of Death Just Revealed After Famed Actor from 'Chicago Fire' Passes Away at Young Age

A sad story was reported last March that left fans of the Chicago Fire television series heartbroken. Producers reported that one of the actors had died.

DuShon Monique Brown passed away. She was at home when she began to have chest pains and her family called local first responders. She suffered a heart attack soon after and has sadly passed away. She was only 49.

According to reports, Chicago Fire producer Dick Wolf released a statement on Brown's death. He says, "The Chicago Fire family is devastated to lose one of its own. Our thought and prayers are with DuShon's family and we will all miss her."

Now, months since her passing, the official cause of death is being revealed.

According to Page Six, sepsis has been determined as the cause of death of “Chicago Fire” actress DuShon Monique Brown. On Thursday, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that the actress died of sepsis, a blood infection of unknown origin, according to NBC Chicago.

DuShon has been on the hit TV show since 2012. She played the role of Chief Boden's assistant, Connie. She also appeared on Prison Break. She previously worked as a high school counselor in real life.
