Fans across the globe are sending prayers to Faith Hill and Tim McGraw after some heartbreaking news was just revealed. According to reports, Faith's father has passed away. He was 88 years old.

Faith's father, Wesley "Ted" Perry, died last week in Franklin, Tennessee. Please join us in sending our deepest prayers to their family as they mourn his loss.

Tim has been very outspoken about the loss of his father-in-law and took to social media to share what Ted's passing means for his own life. It was a bittersweet post. Tim published a video that featured Perry and had the song “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Ol’ Days),” playing in the background.

“He was the sweetest, kindest most gentle man I’ve ever known,” the country star wrote in the video caption.

“No man in my life has ever made such an impact on me as to how to be a human, a father, and a friend. I’ll never, in 10 lifetimes, be able to live up to his example, but man, he has set a mark that all of us should strive for. His legacy will live on through the 3 beautiful souls he raised, Faith and her brothers, Steve and Wesley," he continued.

He added, “I’m sure a day will not pass for the rest of my life, that he will not show up in my thoughts. We all love you G Pa.”

The final moments of the video feature Faith's voice, saying, “Anyone who has ever met my dad would tell you he is one of the greatest human beings on the planet and he is so innocent."

Ted's passing comes just a few years after his wife, Faith's mom Edna, also passed away. Faith was adopted by Ted and Edna as an infant. She has yet to publicly speak out about her loss at this time.

Our hearts go out to his loved ones during this difficult time! Please share your prayers in the comments section of our Facebook page! In other recent news, the Duggar family is in mourning after facing a tragic loss.
