Every year on June 14, the United States of America celebrates “Flag Day.” The special day is recognized each year because it is the anniversary of the day that the Second Continental Congress made a resolution about the U.S. flag.
They said, “Resolved, that the Flag of the thirteen United States shall be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the Union be thirteen stars, white on a blue field, representing a new constellation.”
In honor of “Flag Day,” we asked Faith Family America readers to post their favorite photos of the American flag that they have taken! Below are a few of the photos that were posted. Additionally, one reader even decided to post a poem about the flag!
Diane wrote, "Taken at Holy Cross Cemetary. My dad proudly served in WW1 US Army. He is my hero!"
Thank you so much for your father's service, Diane Klug!
Vicky said, "Rockaway Beach New York."
