Fans were in complete shock after famous actress Erika Christensen, 36, and husband Cole Maness announced the unusual arrival of their baby girl. This is the couple’s second daughter; they also share 2-year-old Shane Maness.
Christensen is best-known for her starring roles in the Christian film “The Case for Christ” and hit television series “Parenthood.” She has also starred in several other movies including “Anything for Love” and “The Upside of Anger.”
On social media, Christensen revealed that their second child was born with an unexpected twist of events. The public was surprised to learn that Maness delivered the baby on his own inside of their home.
“It happened! It happened this morning. And it will go down in family history because baby girl’s own, incredible Dad delivered her all by himself,” the actress revealed in a shocking Instagram post.
“My fault entirely as I didn't know she would come so quickly and didn’t call the [doctor] until far too late,” she admitted. “[The doctor] came straight over and arrived about one minute after she joined us in the world. Haha!”
Christensen’s mother also arrived shortly after the birth of their newborn daughter who is named “Polly” and is “chubby-cheeked and rosy and so beautiful,” according to the “Parenthood” star. Since Christensen and her husband didn’t have access to typical hospital tools like a scale, they “think” she weighed 7lbs 8oz at birth and was born at approximately 9:21 AM.
Little Polly is reportedly very healthy. Given her unusual birth, everything went smoothly.
Please keep Christensen and her family in your prayers as they adjust to life with two beautiful blessings! In other family news, an HGTV star announced that he is planning to expand his family with his wife.
