An AMBER ALERT was issued for two young boys over the weekend. Leonardo Ortega, 8, and Matias Carrillo, 2, from El Paso, Texas were abducted from their home around 5:00 AM on Saturday morning, June 29th.

According to the El Paso Times, Leonardo and Matias are stepbrothers. They were taken by 26-year-old Justin Carrillo who is the biological father of Matias and the stepfather of Leonardo.

Local authorities are very concerned about their whereabouts and have reason to believe that they could be in “grave or immediate danger.” Carrillo is allegedly suicidal and has his concealed carry license for a handgun.

The three are believed to be traveling in 2003 black Hyundai Elantra with Texas license plates KYR4562. The vehicle is pictured below.

Leonardo was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, underwear, and navy blue crocs. His little brother was last seen wearing a grey onesie, reported Missing Kids.

As of 6:00 PM ET on Saturday, the AMBER ALERT is still active. This story is developing and will be updated as more information becomes available to the public.

Please pray for the safe return of these two young boys. In other trending news, the lead singer of a Grammy-nominated music group, Jim Pike, sadly passed away recently.
