On July 19, Jinger Duggar Vuolo and her husband Jeremy welcomed their first child into the world. Jinger gave birth to a little girl who they named Felicity Nicole.
The little girl was born at 4:37 a.m. on Thursday, July 19. Felicity weighed 8 lbs. and 3 oz. and is 19.5 inches long.
Only July 30, the couple introduced their baby to the world via a video posted on their family's website.
“We are so happy and pleased to announce the birth of our little girl,” Jeremy said in the TLC. In the video, he and Jinger are holding little felicity,
In the video, Jeremy explained the reason they chose to name their baby Felicity.
He said they “went with Nicole because that’s Jinger’s middle name and a way to honor her and Felicity really describes supreme joy and the joy that we have in this little one and the joy that we pray she would have throughout life.”
Jinger also revealed how she feels about being a new mother.
“It’s incredible being first-time parents. It’s something that you think about and dream about, but when it’s actually here, I think the reality hits you and it’s just the sweetest thing in the whole world.”
She continued, “I think the most exciting thing about having a little girl is seeing this little piece of Jinger and me together,” said new dad Jeremy.
“It’s just absolutely amazing,” said Jinger. “There are no words to describe how it feels to hold your little one.”
Jinger and Jeremy got married in November 2016. They announced in January of this year that they were expecting their first child.
“The past fourteen months have been the best of our lives as we have had the wonderful privilege of beginning our journey through life together in marriage,” the couple wrote on their website at the time.
They added, “We both looked forward to the joys of marriage but neither one of us fully understood just how amazing the start of this journey would be. Truly, the Lord’s mercies are new every morning! Now, the journey has taken an exciting turn: we are expecting our first child. We are praising God for this beautiful gift and ask that you join us in praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy.”
