Kate Middleton and Prince William stepped out with Queen Elizabeth on Monday. They showed the queen around the garden that Kate designed as part of the Chelsea Flower Show.
Kate Middleton created a garden at the annual event. Over the weekend, the royal couple shared delightful photos of their children seeing the garden for the first time.
The 37-year-old future queen showed Queen Elizabeth, 92, around the garden. Kate glowed in a stunning flowered dress that perfectly matched the event.
Her dress was from British-Canadian designer Erdem. It is the Shebah Floral Cotton-Silk Gown.
The dress featured three-quarter length sleeves and it hit at the ankle. It has purple and yellow flower designs on it.
She paired the dress with simple nude-colored wedge heels. The also wore flower shaped earrings and a watch that was gifted to her by her husband.
The Queen was dressed more simply in one of her characteristic colorful skirt suits. She wore the lime green coat and Stewart Parvin floral silk dress that she wore to Meghan and Harry's wedding.
The Queen paired her green ensemble with strings of pearls, pearl earrings, and a stunning broach. Her Majesty also wore white gloves, which is and to an earlier time.
The photos were taken in the garden that Kate designed as part of the Chelsea Back to Nature event. The garden is a creative space for children to play in nature.
Kate explained the reason behind the garden in the Instagram post.
She wrote, "90% of our adult brains are developed before the age of 5 and what a child experiences in those really early years directly affects how the brain develops. That’s why I think it’s so important, whether we’re parents or carers or family members, really engage in quality time with children and babies from a really young age."
"I really feel that nature and being interactive outdoors has huge benefits on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for young kiddies," she added.
She concluded, "The #RHSChelsea Back to Nature Garden is a natural, creative place for them to play. I really hope that this woodland that we have created, in a huge collaboration here really inspires families, kids and communities to get outside, enjoy nature and the outdoors and spend quality time together. #ChelseaFlowerShow."
