For the President of the United States, traveling around the the many iconic buildings in Washington D.C. is simply part of the daily job. Many of the federal buildings have become famous structures that not only represent America, but also our values and ideals as citizens.
As the nation came together to mourn the passing of President George H.W. Bush, a dramatic scene unfolded. President Bush's casket was transported from the Capitol building to the cathedral for his funeral service.
The moment was very solemn. It is the final time his body will be in the United States Capitol building. His casket had been on display inside the rotunda earlier this week for visitors to visit and pay their respects.
The video below shows the moment the military service members moved his casket down the steps and into the waiting vehicles.
"As 'Hail To The Chief' is played along with a 21-Gun Salute, the body of George H.W. Bush is carried out of the US Capitol for the final time by an honor guard of members from each branch of the US Military," reported MSNBC.
Please join us in praying for the Bush family during this time. We realize that this must be Avery difficult week and we ask that gOd's grace and peace would surround them. We are so blessed to have had their father, George H.W. Bush, as our Commander-in-Chief.
