Drakeo The Ruler’s brother has criticised the Grammys for not including Drakeo on their “In Memoriam” segment.
Biz Markie (DMX), Young Dolph and Young Dolph all received mentions.
“On behalf Drakeo The Ruler and Ketchy the Great, it comes off like a spit on the face disregarding facts that we’ve created a movement that generated momentum for underground L.A. artists to have an outlet. Ralphy The Plug stated to TMZ that Drakeo The Ruler, our Brother, was the poster child for systematic prejudices against rappers. He used lyrics against our culture to violate what they call our constitutional rights, The First Amendment.
He said, “Leaving Drakeo out their tribute and not giving him any acknowledgment about his existence sums exactly what we feel that the industry has been trying do.” We must be erased.”
Drakeo was stabbed to his death at the Once Upon a Time in LA festival in December.
