Fire officials claim that two buses collided in the Lincoln Tunnel, thereby injuring at least 32 people. Officials claim the accident happened at around 10 am in the center tube of the tunnel between two New Jersey Transit buses.
According to Time, most of the injuries were minor, although exact details about the injuries haven't yet been made public.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which currently manage the tunnel, did not immediately respond upon request for comment by Time. The Lincoln Tunnel connects New York City with New Jersey and is located on Manhattan's West Side.
As a result of the crash, the tunnel — which is normally packed with traffic — is being delayed so that officials can investigate what happened.
CBS News writes that the crash happened at about 9:50 am in the center tube of the tunnel. The accident reportedly happened when one bus rear-ended another, which some have described as a "fender bender."
None of the injuries are life-threatening, although some are seriously hurt.
