On Thursday, news broke of Donald Trump Jr. and wife Vanessa's divorce after 12 years of marriage. Reports claim Vanessa filed the documents on Thursday in the Manhattan Supreme Court in New York.

They were married in 2005 at President Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach and share five kids together. The pair issued a statement on their divorce and asked for privacy during this difficult time.

“After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways. We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time," the statement reads.

Just hours after they announced their split, Trump took to social media to share a photo of him and his daughter cuddling.

He captioned it saying, "No matter what is going on bedtime cuddling with the smurf puts a Yuge smile on my face."
