If you’ve turned on a TV or checked your social media feeds anytime in the past few weeks, you would have been bombarded with overwhelmingly negative attitudes towards President Trump and his administration.
President Trump has been loudly accused of separating and mistreating illegal immigrant families at the border due to his zero-tolerance policy against people flaunting U.S. law and entering the country the wrong way.
The most recent mass meltdown has come on the heels of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders being refused service at the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, VA this past weekend. Conservatives are up in arms over the treatment of Sanders while progressives are largely cheering the restaurant for taking a stand against the administration they despise.
Amidst all of the noise is something you may not have heard. President Trump has secured a major win for America in regards to North Korea.
By meeting with Kim Jung Un earlier this month, President Trump accomplished what previous administrations had been unable to, whether by choice or by refusal from North Korea’s dictators.
Since the meeting, major events have been taking place. One such action is that North Korea is returning the remains of American soldiers who fought and died for the freedom of South Korea. Congressman Jim Banks (R-IN) offered a remembrance to those soldiers who died and to the President who is bringing them back home.
The other major change happening in the hermit kingdom is the softening of anti-American rhetoric. According to a Fox news report, North Korea is replacing anti-American posters and propaganda with positive messages about re-unification between the two Koreas.
These two actions are major accomplishments for the Trump administration. He has accomplished more with one meeting than the past administrations combined.
