A former Disney star, Tiffany Thornton, is facing some harsh criticism from fans after she just got married for the second time. Some fans are saying that getting married less than two years after losing her first husband is a bad move and very insensitive.
“‘The Sonny with a Chance’ actress' late husband Christopher Carney died in a car accident in December 2015 leaving Thornton a widow and single mother to their two sons. She wed Josiah Capaci on Saturday and shared her newlywed bliss on social media,” according to Fox News.
People were quick to point judgment on social media. However, some readers also offered support for the Disney star. Obviously, it is an extremely personal and private situation that is making headlines because the bride happens to be famous.
"Everyone grieves and heals differently! No one should tell anyone else how to do it or judge anyone else. Congratulations on your wedding/marriage! I'm so happy for you," a fan wrote.
Tiffany recently posted a photo from her wedding day and captioned it as the best day of her life. She then responded vaguely to the backlash and used love and privacy as her defense.
"This is love. That all-encompassing, enduring, accepting, near perfect love. The kind that trumps my need to snap back at people who have the audacity to comment on my Instagram about whether I loved my first husband or not," the actress wrote in response.
