Details Released on Gunman in Germany Shooting

A shooting occurred at a nightclub in Konstnaz, Germany early Sunday morning around 4:30 AM. According to Fox News, a shooter opened fire with a machine gun.

ABC News reports that two people have been killed; one was the attacker. Four others were injured, one of which was a police officer on scene. Multiple news sources confirmed the officer's injuries were not serious or life-threatening.

The gunman was severely injured after a shootout with police officers. He died hours later in the hospital.

His name and photo have not yet been released. However, authorities have provided other details to public.

He is a 37-year-old Iraqi man, according to ABC and CBS. Other news sources reported he is 34-years-old. Although suspicions were raised from the public about terrorism immediately after the tragic incident, local police force has ruled out the possibility of a terrorist attack.

Since terrorism has been ruled out, his motive for the attack remains unknown. CBS News stated the man did have various offenses, but the previous offenses were not listed.
