Democrats React to Former President Donald Trump’s Indictment

Democrats took to Twitter Thursday evening to answer former President Donald Trump’s indictment. A Manhattan grand jury’s determination to indict Trump marks the primary time a former U.S. president has confronted prison prices.

“Our justice system has an obligation to pursue the information & legislation wherever they lead,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., tweeted. “Former President Trump may have the identical rights as any prison defendant & the justice system will presume him harmless till confirmed responsible.”
