Demi Lovato is one of the most iconic music performers in recent years. Her music is known around the globe and she has fans virtually everywhere she goes.

Sadly, a life of fame can produce serious pressure for a celebrity. Lovato has been open in the past about the pressures she faces and the struggles she's had with addiction and substance abuse.

Unfortunately, things recently took a turn for the worst. Demi was rushed to a hospital after first responders revived her from an apparent overdose. It was reported that she OD'd on heroin, however, Demi's reps have yet to confirm the report.

Now, some terrible news is being reported about Demi's recovery in the hospital. According to the Mirror, Demi's hospital floor was just put on lockdown.

"Demi Lovato's hospital floor has been put on 'lockdown' after the singer was rushed there following an apparent drug overdose. Security on her floor at the Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles has been tightened up with bodyguards posted outside her room to prevent any curious passersby from sneaking a peek at the famous patient," Us Weekly reports.

Demi's mom is said to have stayed by her side since she first arrived at the hospital. It was her mother that reported the terrible news that she was fearful for Demi's well-being while recovering from her ordeal. Lovato's mother said she believes bad people are trying to influence Demi to continue using drugs and may be trying to get into her room at the hospital.
