Actor and singer Darren Criss is off the market. The former "Glee" star said "I do" over the weekend, according to PEOPLE.
"The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story" actor, 32, married his longtime girlfriend Mia Swier, 33, on Saturday. The couple had been together around 8 years when they tied the knot.
Criss and Swier held their wedding in New Orleans. They were joined by their celebrity friends including fellow Glee alums Lea Michele, John Stamos, Chord Overstreet, and Harry Shum Jr.
The couple announced their engagement in January 2018. However, they didn't make the announcement right away.
Criss wrote on his Instagram that the engagement was in the works for a long time. He also praised his future wife.
“Mia and I have had seven and a half years of fun, wacky, wonderful, CRAZY adventures together,” the Glee star wrote at the time alongside a photo of the pair. “And I’m happy to announce that we’re kicking those adventures up a notch. We’re goin for it. To boldly go where neither of us have gone before. Engage.”
Criss later told Esquire his proposal “was a long time coming.”
Swier has worked for Fox and Showtime. She attended New York University’s Steinhardt School of Media Studies and Television Production.
Congratulations to the couple! May God bless their marriage.
