Actor, Worldwide Teen Heartthrob in the '80s Dies at 54 After Cancer Battle

The sad news was just confirmed that Darius Perkins, the original star of “Neighbours,” has just passed away. According to reports, the 54-year-old died after a long battle with cancer.

The actor, originally from Australia, starred as the original Scott Robinson in the highly popular BBC soap. Throughout his career, Perkins also appeared in several other popular TV dramas.

Though Perkins made a huge name for himself in Australia, the show and the actor were met with worldwide fans. In 1984, the actor won a Logie Award for Best Juvenile Performance for his role in “All the Rivers Run.”
