Fans of “The Biggest Loser” are in mourning on Monday after some sad news was confirmed from the franchise. Daniel Wright, a contestant from the seventh and eighth seasons of the show, has passed away.
Wright passed away at 30-years-old. According to E-News, the contestant had been diagnosed with cancer in fall of 2017.
Wright was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. That December, the news became public and the contestant underwent chemotherapy and blood transfusions.
Sadly, after receiving cancer treatment, Wright relapsed in December 2018. Now, he has sadly passed away.
Several former contestants shared heartbreaking tributes after Wright’s death.
Danny Cahill wrote, “Yesterday the world lost a bit of its light. Daniel Wright and I met for the first time in May of 2009 on the beach in Malibu…Little did I know the effect this man would have on my life.”
He continued, “Daniel’s light has always been one of Grace, encouragement, wisdom, love, and honor throughout the time I have known him.”
