The news was just confirmed that Daniel Craig, or "James Bond" has to undergo surgery. The actor sustained an injury while filming for the upcoming "Bond 25," set to air in spring 2020.

According to EW, Craig has to undergo "minor ankle surgery." He injured himself while on set. The official James Bond Twitter account were the ones to originally break the news.

The account said, "BOND 25 Update: Daniel Craig will be undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica. Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks post-surgery. The film remains on track for the same release date in April 2020."

No details have been released about the accident that took place on set. Thankfully, it appears that the minor ankle injury was the only injury from the accident.

The 51-year-old is reportedly playing Bond for the last time in this upcoming film. However, rumors have also swirled that he would be returning for a 26th movie.

The film was originally planned for release at the end of 2019. However, a change in directors caused it to be delayed until spring of 2020. Thankfully, this injury will not push back the release date any further.
