Dame Dash will be required to pay $800,000.00 to director and producers for the movie “Dear Frank”.
According to TMZ documents, the jury sided in favor of director Josh Webber, Muddy Water Pictures, who made “Dear Frank”, starring Brian White and Claudia Jordan as well as Nick Turturro and Lil Durk.
Nach his dismissal, Dash was alleged to have tried to promote the movie and claim it as his own by the movie producers.
DAME DASH’S NEW STUDIO
Webber blasted Dame social media in 2019.
“I wasn’t gonna speak on this bum but f*ck him and his lies. I won’t let this guy bully or slander me any longer. The truth is [Dame Dash]He is not an independent artist nor a businessman, as he pretends. He was hired by @muddfilms to direct #thelist’s film. This was originally a marketing stunt. I was the producer and was asked to ghost-direct certain aspects.
He said, “Dame doesn’t know what directing a movie is like or how it takes. She was constantly yelling at cast members, berating crew members, smoking weed, and basically sleeping at work.” Dame became a hot head while finishing the film. The studio executive producer/financier stepped out of line and Dame was finally fired! I was approached to direct the movie to completion. My company was also attached to assist in its formal release. It’s very easy to understand.”
