Dame Dahs claimed Cam’ron’s 2005 shooting was actually over his Paid In Full role.
Cam played Rico in this movie. The character was inspired in part by Alpo Martinez, a drug dealer turned snitch.
“Cam went through a lot. You know, he got shot over his role in Washington. Yes, that was over. Although he has never shared his story, I was able to see the times when he was a bit confused. I asked him to play another role once, and he said, “Yo bro, I got shot over this role,”” Dame stated in an interview.
“There was one scene in which he said, “I don’t want to do that scene.” So, when I found out, I felt a little responsible and didn’t want to put anyone in that same position again. This story is serious. This must be done perfectly.
Weeks ago, Dame revealed that Paid in Full 2 was being filmed in Newark.
