Some incredible photos have recently been going viral online. Originally, the photos were pretty controversial and could lead viewers to wonder what kind of parent would allow their child to be placed in such dangerous situations.
However, the true story behind the photos is finally out and people are extremely supportive. According to The New Yorker, the pictures are actually photoshopped. A dad decided to start making crazy pictures of his adorable daughter as a way to bring some humor to his family.
"When his daughter was four months old, she had become sick with a rare immune disorder called hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). 'She spent the next six months in the hospital receiving chemotherapy and ultimately a bone marrow transplant, which saved her life,' the dad wrote. Crowley had been sharing photographs of his daughter privately with his family, and soon realized that they were 'desperately seeking a little humor in our lives.' That’s when he Photoshopped her onto the fence railing."
The response was amazing. People reached out to the dad, Stephen Crowley, to offer their prayers and support. Some even asked where they can donate blood or bone marrow to help others in similar situations. The photos truly did bring joy and light to a dark time.
“I’m really looking forward to showing her these when she is older," said the proud father.
