Video footage was just released of a scary moment that took place on Friday, March 8. An out-of-control vehicle suddenly crashed into a freeway divider only a few yards away from the presidential motorcade.
The presidential motorcade was driving through Opelika, Alabama on Friday. President Trump, First Lady Melania, and Barron Trump were visiting Alabama to see firsthand the tornado damage.
According to CNN, “Just as the motorcade including the SUV carrying President Donald Trump comes into view on the other side of the freeway, squealing tires are heard.”
Now, a video has been released showing the moment that a vehicle crashed into “protective wires in the grass just as the motorcade passes, keeping it from crossing the median.”
A witness on the video can be heard saying, “Oh my God— right at the President? Are you kidding me? Did y’all see that? Holy smokes!”
Reportedly, the presidential motorcade did not slow down after the accident across the median.

As of Saturday morning, the Alabama Highway Patrol confirmed that the Opelika Police Department was investigating the incident. The Secret Service reportedly noted that they were unaware of the situation at the time.
Thankfully, none of our nation's leaders were affected by this accident. No information has been released about the person or people who were involved in the crash, but it appears that no major injuries were reported. Keep them in your prayers.
