According to Pop Culture, McBryde's cause of death has not yet been revealed. He lived in Arkansas where he spent 25 years with the Russellville Police Department. Clay and Ashley grew up in a small town and the country music star often sings about her upbringing.
Recently, Ashley McBryde has been on the road promoting her debut album, "Girl Going Nowhere." The song features her single, "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega," talking about her small hometown.
At this point, Ashley has not released an official statement about her brother's death. However, she has commented on the sad situation through her social media channels.
She posted a photo of her current tour with one of her fellow band members and talked about how they have been helping her to get through this sad time.

Ashley said, "For those who have asked about flowers and donations, my nephew has asked that we make donations to Mission 22 in my brother's honor. Please note that the donation is in honor of Clay McBryde. Thank you ever so much."
