A rising country music star was involved in a car wreck Thursday morning just after dropping his kids off at school, and he’s crediting the type of car he was driving for protecting him from serious injury.
Jason Michael Carroll has been producing chart-topping hits like “Living’ Our Love Song” and “Alyssa Lies,” according to Country Music Nation. He rose to fame after the success of his first album, “Waitin’ in the Country.”
But on Thursday, he let his fans know via Facebook that he’d been in an accident.
“Well this week has sucked. Could always be worse I reckon. Glad I had already dropped my kids off at school this morning before this lady pulled out in front of me. I was driving my father in laws #Volvo and was slowing down to make a turn at the next road,” he wrote.
“If this doesn’t make you think twice about the safety of the car you’re driving, it should. Between this, financial worries, our poor dog and everything else, I’m really tired of this week. Sorry for the heavy post but I have always been open with y’all. I have a headache. I’m resting now,” he concluded.
Carroll’s dog, Blocker, has been dealing with a painful-looking fluid buildup.
Are Volvos safer than other cars? An Insurance Institute for Highway Safety study released in 2015 put a Volvo luxury SUV on a coveted list of just eight other vehicle models that have experience zero driver deaths the previous year.
But in a study released two years later, no Volvo was present on the list of 11 cars with zero driver deaths the previous year. No Volvo made the list of vehicles that only saw 2 to 7 driver deaths that year either.
We’re glad no one was seriously injured in the crash! Praying things get better for Carroll and his family. In other news, “Fixer Upper” star Joanna Gaines says she can no longer hide her baby bump.
