Congressman Louie Gohmert, R-TX, wiped the smug grin off disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok’s face when he landed a devastating blow during the fiery House hearing on Capitol Hill on Thursday.
As Strzok sat in the life of fire from angry Republican lawmakers, Rep. Gohmert addressed the smug look on Strzok’s face and strayed from his original line of questioning to bring front and center what is currently lost in this investigation of Strzok’s blatant anti-Trump bias.
“I’ve talked to FBI agents around the country,” Gohmert told Strzok. “You’ve embarrassed them. You’ve embarrassed yourself, and I can’t help but wonder when I see you looking there with a little smirk, how many times did you look so innocent into your wife’s eye and lied to her about Lisa Page.”
Lawmakers quickly erupted in panic and outrage after Gohmert put Strzok’s infidelity front and center, chiding him to stay on topic.
However, Gohmert was right to address the infidelity. If a man lied to the person closest to him in the most sacred of unions, how could their testimony be trusted to be truthful and honest?
Do you think Gohmert was right to bring up Strzok’s infidelity?
