A sad update has just been confirmed out of L.A. County. According to an official death certificate, Mark Salling's death has now been ruled an official suicide by hanging.

Mark was recently found hanging from a tree near his home, according to TMZ. He was only 35 years of age. He was most well known for his television acting roles on the hit show, "Glee."

"We're told police received a call to do a "welfare check" on Salling and somehow that led them to the baseball field where his body was found. We're told Salling had been dead for some time," according to TMZ.

The "Glee" star had previously pleaded guilty to possession of explicit material involving children. Before his death, he was awaiting sentencing for his crimes. He was expected to receive 4-7 years in prison for the offenses and was set to be sentenced next month.

At this time, no toxicology reports have been released. It is still unclear if he had any illegal or mind-altering substances in his system at the time of his passing.

"The Coroner's Office just released the certificate, filed in L.A. County ... and it lists the cause of death as asphyxia by hanging. It also says he was found dead in a riverbed in Sunland, CA," wrote TMZ.

This is a terrible and tragic situation for everyone involved, and for all of those who were affected by the case. Please join us in praying for God's healing grace to comfort everyone who was impacted by the events.
