The Ford Motor Company has just issued a major recall. Drivers were frightened to learn that over 100,000 vehicles have been recalled for an important reason.

According to reports, the various vehicles have been recalled because the bolts in the seat, seat belt or seat belt buckle may fracture. This recall affects nearly 117,000 vehicles.

Automotives involved in this recall include the 2014 F-Series pickup, 2014 E-Series van, 2014-2015 Ford Escape and the 2015 Lincoln MKC SUV. While most of the affected vehicles are in the United States, the recall does include over 20,000 vehicles in Canada and over1,500 in Mexico.

According to Ford, in the event of a sudden stop or crash, the seat or the performance of the seat belt could be compromised. Thankfully, Ford has not reported any accidents or injuries due to the faulty bolts.

If your vehicle is one of the many being recalled, Ford will contact you and the bolts will be replaced free of charge at one of their dealerships. Please stay safe on the roads!
