Shooting Threat Reported at Columbine High School, Students on Lockdown

A threat against Columbine High School caused police to go to the school on Thursday. It was placed on lockout that morning because of the reported threat, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.

This is the same high school where the Columbine High School massacre took place in 1999. That shooting killed 15 people including the perpetrators.

Chatfield Senior High School and Dakota Ridge High School were also placed on lockout, JeffCo Public Schools said. Lockout means that students can only remain inside.

SkyFOX captured a large police presence around Columbine High School around 10 a.m.
