Ahmed Mohamed and his infamous “clock” have made headlines across the country. He has been invited to the white house to meet Obama as well as Facebook’s founder. He has also received an outpouring of support on social media with people using the hashtag #StandWithAhmed.
The mainstream media has been quick to call the school’s actions “Islamophobic.” However, that is only one side to this unfolding story.
In the past couple of days more and more people have begun questioning Ahmed’s story and “invention”. Mark Cuban, Richard Dawkins, and even Bill Maher have surprisingly questioned the originality, technicality, and even the look of the clock at the center of the story.
Dan Joseph, a reporter with the Media Research Center, took the story a little further. He conducted a little experiment. He took a photo of Ahmed’s clock to the campus of George Mason University and asked students what they thought the picture was.
