Clint Eastwood Sticks it to 'Hollyweird', Announces Plans to Film in Georgia Despite Boycott

Alyssa Milano is known for her work in front of the camera in Hollywood. However, she recently decided to become an activist and take on conservative leaders and conservative platforms. Milano spearheaded a boycott letter recently that was signed by over 50 Hollywood actors. They threatened to boycott the state of Georgia if the new abortion bill was passed into law.

"The so-called 'heartbeat bill' would prohibit most abortions in the state after a heartbeat is detected, which can come as early as six weeks — before many women know they are pregnant. It would not apply in the case of rape, incest or if the life of the mother is in danger," reported Fox.

Soon after the letter went public, the leadership in Georgia is pushing back against the celebrities. They are sending a very clear message to the Hollywood elites and telling them they will not be bullied into a corner.

"I can't govern because I'm worried about what someone in Hollywood thinks about me," Georgia Governor Kemp told the newspaper. "I ran the last two years on these issues, and I got elected with the largest number of votes in the history of the state of Georgia, and I'm doing what I told people I would do."

Georgia was the home of 455 productions in 2018 and the finical impact of those projects topped $9.5 billion. Now, another famous actor has just decided to voice his opinion. Clint Eastwood has announced his plans to film a new movie in the state of Georgia despite the ongoing controversy surrounding the pro-abortion actors.

"'The Ballad of Richard Jewell,' which Eastwood is directing, features stars Olivia Wilde, Jon Hamm, Sam Rockwell, Kathy Bates, and Ian Gomez. "American security guard, Richard Jewell, heroically saves thousands of lives from an exploding bomb at the 1996 Olympics, but is unjustly vilified by journalists and the press who falsely report that he was a terrorist,' the film's IMDB description reads," according to the Daily Wire.

Eastwood hasn't publicly commented on the decision, though his actions seem to speak for themselves. He has been an open conservative in the past and has advocated for strong, patriotic stances before. It will be interesting to see how Milano and company respond to this news.
