4 Dead, Several Wounded After Gunman Opens Fire in Downtown Building: ‘Pray for Our City’

A tragic situation emerged from Cincinnati, Ohio on Thursday morning September 6th. According to reports, a gunman opened fire at the lobby inside of the 30-story Fifth Third Center building downtown.

Four people died, including the gunman, and at least two others were injured as a result of the shooting. It was immediately unclear if the shooter was killed by police or shot himself after harming several victims.

Following news of the attack, City Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld told the public, "Terrible shooting incident in the heart of our city this morning. Multiple shot, and tragically there are fatalities. Details still emerging. Pray for our city."

Details are still developing. The suspect or the victims were not immediately identified to the public. A motive was also not released.

Amidst the tragic news, people have been sending their prayers. Cincinnati Reds pitcher Sal Romano and Catholic Priest Fr. Frank Pavone were among those who publicly prayed for the shooting victims.
