Christian Film Star Kevin Sorbo Lashes Out Against Fellow Actors Supporting Abortion Bill

The state of Georgia is extremely popular with the film and television industry with numerous productions having been filmed there in recent years. More and more celebrities are also buying up property in the peach state.

However, after a new bill on abortion was recently sent for approval before lawmakers, dozens of actors are trying to use their influence to take action. They are threatening to boycott all filming and production in the state if the bill is passed.

The threatening boycott ultimatum is being spearheaded by Alyssa Milano. The famous actress was also heavily involved during the Kavanaugh hearings.

“The star called on the film and TV industry to stop giving the state its business due to the new ‘heartbeat bill’ that the Georgia Senate passed earlier this month. The bill seeks to limit abortions to six weeks after conception unless the pregnancy was conceived through rape or incest.,” reported Fox News.

Milano shared an open letter on social media sharing her point of view on the bill. She reportedly sent it to both Georgia Governor Brian Kemp as well as Georgia House Speaker David Ralston Thursday morning. In the letter, Milano describes the significant impact the boycott could have on the state.

“As actors, our work often brings us to Georgia. We’ve always found your state to be populated with friendly and caring people,” the letter begins. ”We’ve been glad to bring millions of dollars in revenue to support Georgia’s schools, parks and communities. But we cannot in good conscience continue to recommend our industry remain in Georgia if H.B. 481 becomes law,” she wrote.

She then went on to discuss her views on governmental control over a woman’s body and decisions. Many conservatives heavily disagreed with her on social media.

“This dangerous and deeply-flawed bill mimics many others which have already been deemed unconstitutional. As men who identify as small-government conservatives, we remind you that government is never bigger than when it is inside a woman’s body or in her doctor’s office. This bill would remove the possibility of women receiving reproductive healthcare before most even know they are pregnant and force many women to undergo unregulated, hidden procedures at great risk to their health,” the letter continued.

She concluded by sending a not-so-subtle message that approving the bill would spell financial distorter for the state.

“We can’t imagine being elected officials who had to say to their constituents, ‘I enacted a law that was so evil, it chased billions of dollars out of our state’s economy.’ It’s not the most effective campaign slogan, but rest assured we’ll make it yours should it come to pass,” the letter reads. “This is the precipice on which you stand.”

Now, another famous actor is speaking out. Kevin Sorbo took to Twitter to mock Milano’s boycott.

“Ooooo….I am sure Georgia is shaking in its boots right now about losing Alyssa Milano as a working actor in their state. Such a sad loss for all of us. Alyssa…,” he wrote.

Sorbo is a very open conservative and a proud Christian. He stands firm on his faith and proudly advocates for pro-life values. Recently, Sorbo has appeared in numerous Chritsian movies, include the “God’s Not Dead” films.

Fans loved the actor’s hilarious tweet. Many took to twitter to back him up and offer their support. Milano has yet to respond.
