Chris Rock is not expected to press charges against Will Smith for slapping Smith at the Oscars.
“LAPD investigation entities are aware that there was an incident between two individuals in the Academy Awards program,” according to a statement sent by the LAPD HollywoodLife.
“The incident involved a single person slapping another. The person involved has declined to file an investigative report. LAPD will complete an investigative report if the concerned party requests one at a later time.

After making a joke about his wife, Smith slapped Rock.
“I know that to do what we do, one must be able take abuse and have people talk about you. In this business, people will disrespect you. You have to smile and pretend that it’s okay,” Smith said, breaking down on stage.
Later, Diddy added, “Will Chris, we are going to solve that like a gold party family.” For now, we will continue with love.”
