Chris Pincher resigns after suspension from House over groping allegations

Former conservative MP Chris Pincher has resigned after he misplaced his attraction in opposition to an eight-week suspension from the Commons following groping allegations made in opposition to him.

The commons requirements committee introduced the sanction in July following an investigation into the claims and whether or not the previous deputy chief whip prompted “vital harm to the status of the Home”, which amounted to a breach of the members’ code.

Pincher resigned from Boris Johnson’s authorities over the allegations final summer season.

He didn’t attraction in opposition to the breach, however argued to the Impartial Skilled Panel (IEP) that the punishment was disproportionate.
