Fans of Chip and Joanna Gaines are rejoicing after their latest announcement. The popular couple just revealed that they are making their return to television!
After the design duo announced last year they would be ending their hit HGTV series "Fixer Upper," fans have been hoping to see them make a return to the small screen. The couple had previously decided to take a break from their show in order to focus more of their time and attention to their growing family and other business ventures.
While they were stepping back for a period of time, they maintained the idea of being open to other opportunities. “We never rule anything out and we’re go-getters,” Chip told PEOPLE last month. “We love to live life to the fullest and sometimes the journey is unexpected to say the least.”
On Friday, Chip and Joanna appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" where they announced not only will they be returning to T.V. but will have their very own network,
“We signed a non-disclosure and it said quote unquote you can tell your mother but that’s it,” Chip revealed. “So mom, I just wanted to make a quick announcement, we are coming back to television. You are going to get to see the kids grow up, you are going to see us, well maybe a six-month delay like the rest of the world, but we are excited to be back.”
“We’re excited to share that we are currently in the early stages of talking with Discovery about a lifestyle-focused media network for Magnolia. The details surrounding this opportunity remain a work in progress, but together, our hope is to build a different kind of platform for unique, inspiring and family-friendly content," Magnolia spokesman John Marsicano shared in a statement.
