Chick-fil-A is an all-time American favorite fast food chain best-known for their hot, crispy waffle fries and perfected chicken sandwich. In addition to their waffle fries and original chicken sandwich, the restaurant has a number of other popular menu items — like their chicken nuggets and variety of salads — and continues to expand food options for their customers.
In 2017, Chick-fil-A announced that they will be testing two new food items that have been in popular demand: spicy chick-n-strips and a grilled spicy deluxe chicken sandwich. The chain only offers an original spicy chicken sandwich and spicy deluxe chicken sandwich nationwide.
The new recipe follows Chick-fil-A’s classic and loved chicken recipe, but incorporates a savory blend of spicy peppers for the perfect “kick.”
Chick-fil-A debuted their spicy strips in Waco, Texas and Philadelphia locations late last year. However, customers were overjoyed after learning that Phoenix, Arizona locations will also be testing the hot and spicy new menu items on August 25th.
The spicy grilled sandwich was launched in Missouri, Florida, and Tennessee last fall. However, there has been no update on this particular menu item.
If the test locations respond well to the spicy chicken strips, Chick-fil-A will likely roll out the menu item for all other locations. According to social media, customers appear to love the spicy flavor. Stay tuned!
This announcement comes shortly after Chick-fil-A debuted their delicious take-home meal kits at some of their locations in July. The fast food restaurant offered five different, tasty dinner meals with fresh ingredients that customers can purchase for at-home cooking. Read more details here!
