The family of a missing Chicago postal worker are pleading for her return. Kierra Coles, 27, was last seen on October 2, 2018.

The situation is even direr because Coles was five months pregnant at the time of her disappearance. Her family is praying that they'll see her again, reported local news.

She is supposed to give birth next month, according to her mother, Karen Phillips.

"Every day when I wake up, I just want to just scream, cry, holler," Phillips told WLS-TV. "I just want her month is the month she's supposed to have her baby, so it's even harder now because I don't know if she's safe or what's going on with her."

Coles was last seen leaving her house on the South Side of Chicago. Surveillance video shows her walking past her car in her U.S. Postal Service uniform even though she had called in sick that day.

Coles’ mother called the police to report her daughter missing two days later. She said she was concerned about her daughter and calls to her phone went directly to voicemail.

Police went to Coles’ home to conduct a well-being check. They didn’t find her and her car was parked out front.

“She wouldn’t go this long without talking to me,” Phillps told WLS TV.

Phillips last talked to her daughter on the day she disappeared. She said her daughter was happy about hearing her baby's heartbeat.

“We talk every day. She wouldn’t have me worrying like this.”

Police say they suspect foul play in Coles' disappearance.

“Based on the length of time of Kierra Coles disappearance and the fact that she has fallen off the grid, police suspect possible foul play,” the Chicago Police Department said in an email to The Associated Press. “We continue to get leads and are following up diligently on those leads.”

Reporters also spoke to Her father, Joseph Coles. He echoed her mother's thoughts that Coles was excited to be pregnant.

“I saw her a couple of weeks before she went missing,” Joseph, who lives in Wisconsin, said. “She was happy to be pregnant.”

Joseph also told Dateline that his daughter’s phone and prenatal vitamins were found in her car. Since Kierra’s disappearance, Joseph said he has quit his job in Wisconsin and moved to Chicago to search “day and night” for his daughter.

“I’m trying to stand out here and stay strong for my daughter and my grandbaby,” he said. “I do my daily routine – pass out fliers, trying to get the word out. There’s a lot of love in this family. There is no way in hell she would run away.”

The U.S. Postal Service had offered a $25,000 reward for information on Coles’ whereabouts and is assisting in the investigation into her disappearance.

Kierra Coles is described as being 5'4" tall and weighing about 125 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. Kierra has a tattoo of a heart on her right hand, and a tattoo that says “lucky Libra” on her back. Kierra would be approximately eight months pregnant today. Anyone with information on Kierra’s whereabouts is asked to call the Chicago Police Department’s Area South Special Victims Unit at (312) 747-8274 or the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at (877) 876-2455.

Please pray that Coles returns safely to her family. Please also pray for her unborn baby.
