After allegedly posting photos and videos of him on social media, a Chicago rapper is now facing multiple felonies. In connection to an active gun and drug case, the court ordered electronic monitoring.
Popular Chicago rapper, Dekari Bridgemon, 28
The sheriff’s office immediately went to Dekari’s house – when they learned of his social media posts – and claim they found 7 pounds of marijuana, 19 bottles of promethazine and promethazine-codeine, Adderall, oxycodone, and other drugs. They also claim they found a gun in Dekari’s living room, a bag with six guns, and a drum magazine containing 48-rounds ammunition in the back staircase.

This isn’t the first time that social media posts have caused trouble for Dekari. Prosecutors presented a 2016 music video in which Dekari was seen holding a gun, cash, and a knife during a robbery. The judge was about to sentence him because he had robbed a family’s home.
The judge gave him seven year probation.
Two weeks after Dekari served out his time and his parole ended in that case, Chicago police pulled over his car and police claim they found a full bottle of codeine, 26 oxycodone pills, and a bag of pot in the car — two loaded handguns hidden behind a panel near its gear shift.
They charged him with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and two felony drug offenses.
The judge approved the rapper’s electronic monitoring and made a $1,000 deposit towards his $10,000 bail.
He now faces life imprisonment for his new offenses.
