Jussie Smollett became a household name in recent weeks. The "Empire" actor claimed to have been attacked by MAGA supporters who used homophobic slurs and poured bleach on him.
Now, officials say Smollett orchestrated the entire thing. They have charged him in the case and those who were coming to his defense are left speechless. Many wondered what would happen to his career.
Many famous celebrities and public figures have spoken out about the alleged assault. Now, Charles Barkley is addressing the matter and even giving a hilarious suggestion to Smollett, should he try this again in the future.
"Charles Barkley went off on Jussie Smollett on 'Inside the NBA' on Thursday -- saying if the actor really wanted to be a hate crime victim, he shoulda just gone to Liam Neeson's neighborhood," wrote TMZ.
The retired NBA legend then proceeded to tell Jussie never to use a check!
"America, let me just tell you something. Do not commit crimes with checks! If you're gonna break the law, do not write a check! Get cash man!!"
At this point, the rest of the hosts were cracking up. Shaq had to jump in and stop Barkley because it was getting too much for even him! It was a hilarious segment!
Jussie's career is surely over. It will be interesting to see what happens to him and how he moves on from this terrible web of lies.
