On Thursday, October 4, several people attended a protest at the Supreme Court. The protest was regarding Judge Brett Kavanaugh and his Supreme Court nomination.

Among the group of protestors was famous actress Amy Schumer. While she was there, the actress reportedly asked cops to arrest her.

A video shows Schumer specifically asking the cops to arrest her. According to reports, the cops asked her if she wanted to be arrested, and her response was “Yes.”

Below is the video:

Fellow actress, Emily Ratajkowski, was arrested at the protest as well.

She wrote, “Today I was arrested protesting the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, a man who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. Men who hurt women can no longer be placed in positions of power. Kavanaugh’s confirmation as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States is a message to women in this country that they do not matter. I demand a government that acknowledges, respects and supports women as much as it does men.”

Prior to Schumer’s arrest, the actress spoke to the crowd with a microphone. She said that a “vote for Kavanaugh is a vote saying women don’t matter.”

She said, “That’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to keep showing up. And no matter how this goes, they cannot keep us down. We will win. Let’s stay together. Let’s fight. Let’s keep showing up.”
