Congratulations are in order for the cast of “Fuller House!” Actress Candace Cameron Bure, who plays DJ Fuller in the Netflix series, and her co-stars received the Kids Choice Award for the Favorite Funny TV Show category. This is the second year they won the award.
Bure accepted their award alongside fellow actresses Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) and Jodie Sweden (Stephanie Tanner). Soni Bringas (Ramona Gibbler), Scott Weinger (Steve Hale), Michael Campion (Jackson Fuller), Elias Harger (Max Fuller) were also present. However, other big names from the show — such as Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) and Lori Loughlin (Aunty Becky) — were absent.
It’s no surprise that Loughlin was missing from the media appearance. She has recently stayed under wraps after being indicted in a college admissions scandal, and was even dropped from "Fuller House." Loughlin and her husband reportedly paid $500,000 illegally to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California.
Loughlin’s “Fuller House” co-stars have stayed fairly silent since the bombshell report made its way to the public eye. However, some people believe Bure finally addressed the situation in her heartfelt acceptance speech at this year’s KCA.
“Where there's a lot of heart, there's a lot of love," Candace stated. "And a loving family sticks together no matter what."
"They stick together through the hard times, they support each other, they encourage one another, they pray for each other and they stand by their side no matter how tough it gets," she continued. “And a loving family that also sticks together, also celebrates the really good times."
Several media sources insisted that Bure’s speech referenced the recent Loughlin debacle. As of Saturday evening, the cast of “Fuller House” has not confirmed if this is true or not.
E! News reported, “If anything, they subtly referenced Lori...While they never mentioned her name, their sentiments echoed everything happening to their co-star.”
Just Jared also stated, “[The cast] seemingly referenced co-star Lori Loughlin‘s college admissions scandal during their speech. While they never mentioned Lori or the scandal, the stars opened up about sticking together as a family through hard times.”
Even if Bure’s message was not directly addressing Loughlin and the college admissions scandal, her speech comes as a Christ-like reminder to pray for those close to us during tough times. Do you agree? Share your thoughts in our Facebook comments.
